Words Update

For the past 2 years, Gareth was not saying words that can be understood. It was so frustrating and we just thought that he is just delay and normal. Since he started attending school and GFCF diet, so many things had change. He can now imitate and remember the words.

When I asked him "What is your name?"

He replied: ______ is Gayeth. The blank part is hard to understand but he is trying to say My name is Gareth.

When I asked him "How old are you?

He replied: I'm Fouy (four). He can't pronounce letter R.

He is also keep on bubbling and singing which is a very unusual for him for the past years. I am hoping that soon he will start communicating to us like every kid do.

Postponed

Gareth SPED class was postponed due to holidays. I decided to let him start his SPED class on November after the holidays. So far he is learning a lot. He is now imitating some sentences and can now say Bye bye and love you. I am so happy that he is learning slowly.

I am so thankful to God. :)

Progress

Gareth is now eating more than before. He is also singing a lot. I hope he will feel better soon.

Sometimes I feel so down because of his case but everytime I see developments, I become hopeful again. I think there are ups and downs coming and I will prepare myself for it.

It's not easy but I have to face it.

The GFCF Diet

(Hyperactive Gareth)

If I remember it right, since Gareth first birthday, he has this hard stool all the time. We tried different milk but still nothing had change. When I read about GFCF diet I think it's worth a try. It's been 2 weeks since we don't offer milk to him. There was a huge difference. His poop turn normal and it's so effortless for him to do it. He is now interacting to us. He is active in playing with his Tita and Tito.

Since we don't offer milk to him, he starts loving to eat solid foods. He is trying to eat everything. We can also let him seat for a longer time without tantrums. I can see little improvements and very happy.

Next week is the start of his SPED class and I can't wait to see progress. I know in His time, Gareth will recover.

October 14

Today, we went to Pedia's Clinic for Pillow's (Gareth lil sis) check up. When the Pedia called him, no response from him. :( So the Pedia will recommend us to the Dev. Pedia. Tingin ng pedia meron daw PDD si Gareth but still Dev.

I know in God's time maging maayos din lahat. I believe in Him.

Gareth words for the day:

WATER
While we were having dinner, he grabbed my hand and pointed the water. So I say "water" then he repeated it. :)

Intro

This blog is very special...

Gareth will be turning 4 this coming November 14. He is like any other baby. He is super cheerful and active but when he turned 2 years old he became so distant and stopped talking.

Meron namang bubbling pero hard to understand.

July came when we decided to enrolled him to a Toddler Class, three times a week. At first we don't see any improvement and we are amazed how he got those very good and excellent stars. We just let him attend his class then after 3 months there's progress and we are so happy! :)

He is now keep on singing their songs. He memorized all the songs and learn to have eye contact.

Still he can't talk.

We are still waiting for his Dev Pedia appointment so we don't know yet what therapy is best for him but while waiting we decided to let him attend SPED Class.

He will start attending his SPED Class next week and I am excited to see his progress.
